I posted this post a few months ago about how I was changing my skincare routine quite drastically as my skin was terrible. Although it didn't look that bad with makeup on, to me I could see the spots and little bumps I had especially around my mouth and jaw! Anyway since then my skin has improved so much, its not perfect but its ten times better than it was before and so I thought I'd tell you guys my skincare routine, its going to have to be in two parts though as it'd be too long otherwise!

Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 Make-Up Remover

I remove my eye makeup using the Garnier 2 in 1 MakeUp Remover and it is seriously amazing!! It removes every last scrap of eye makeup and even does waterproof mascara easily. And the best thing is it doesn't leave an oily residue on the skin and my eyes feel soft and smooth after using this. A bargain at £2.99

REN ClearCalm Clarifying Clay Cleanser

REN are by far my favourite skincare brand, every single thing I've tried from them, I've absolutely loved! This cleanser is great for oily skin, it doesn't leave it feeling stripped or tight but just very clean and neutralised almost. Definitely worth the £18 it is.

Garnier Soothing Toner

The toner part of my routine is probably the one part I haven't really experimented much with. This toner is really nice and it leaves the skin feeling really clean. However I do plan to try the Clarins Exfoliating Toner and the Pixi Glow Tonic as I feel I need more from a toner than this gives. At the moment though this is fine for me.

Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser

This is a really creamy cleanser that I tend to use in the morning to freshen my skin up. Its not at all greasy so its great for my oily skin. It leaves skin feeling super soft and I really enjoy using it.

Yet another cream eye shadow, I know! I have way too many but I just love how they act as a base and can also be used alone, any product that can be used in two ways is a plus for me:). Anyway this beautiful colour is a MeMeMe Dew Pot in the colour 'Autumn Smoulder' and I can't stop wearing it. Its the perfect plum brown colour that I have been loving wearing under Mac's Twinks for a gorgeous plum smokey eye. They seriously are the perfect match and they make hazel/green eyes like mine really pop!

The Dew pots are a lot creamier than any other cream eyeshadow I've tried, whilst others have the tendancy to be a little sticky as they are acting like a primer, this is definitely a creamy one! At first, when I swatched it, I thought it was going to end up slipping about and creasing incredibly easily and on its own I think it would. But as soon as you put a powder eyeshadow over the top it really stays put, I always wear a primer as well as this but thats because I have incredibly oily eyelids, those of you with normal eyelids should be fine without a primer. It blends out really nicely and I really think it adds depth to any eyeshadow that you wear over the top. A firm favourite I think, I can't wait to try more colours:)

 So for what must be the third time in the past two weeks I once again took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug, seriously I can't go into that shop without buying a load of stuff! I bought a Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Power, Collection 2000 Gel Liner in Black and Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover. I was pretty pleased with what I bought:)!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Power:

I've been looking for a really good pressed powder for ages and because I really didn't want to spend too much I was pretty limited. I had heard rumours that this one was really good and so I went ahead and purchased it. I wasn't disappointed. I have super oily skin and so I never expect much from a powder however this one actually had pretty good staying powder. It stayed for a good 3-4 hours before I had to reapply which I thought was amazing, aha! Will be repurchasing! 

 Collection 2000 Gel Liner in Black:

This gel liner was purchased on a bit of a whim as the Superdrug I went to was out of the MUA Eyelid Primer which I had actually gone in to buy. I've never tried a gel liner before and so I wasn't really sure what to expect but I can safely say that I probably won't ever use liquid eyeliner again! This gel liner glides on so easily (it came with a brush but I will probably buy a proper one!) and the colour comes out so much richer than any of my liquid liners. It dried almost instantly (I have no patience so this was a vital quality) and I imagine with a thinner brush you could get quite a thin, yet strong line! Definitely a winner!

Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover:

I must admit, I wanted this because everyone else had it! But after a couple of uses I'm in love with it. I'm sure you all know the concept by now (if you don't, where have you been?!) but basically it is a pot with a sponge in it that is soaked in acetone free nail varnish remover. You put in a finger at a time, twist and it comes out nail varnish free, easy peasy! I wear nail varnish all the time so this is such a time saver for me, definitely recommended!

MUA is quickly becoming one of my go to brands, firstly because of the price and secondly because they actually have some pretty good stuff there!

My all time favourite MUA product has to be the 'Heaven and Earth' palette. Its amazing, with every shade of brown you could possibly wish for. With a brown smoky eye being almost my signature look (seriously, I love a brown smoky eye!) this palette is perfect for me. The palette consists of 12 highly pigmented eye shadows with a mixture of shimmer and matte finishes, with most of them being a shimmer finish, all for £4!! Its a bargain!

Another product which is fast becoming a favourite of mine is the nail polish, in particular shade 19, which is a pale taupe colour. Its a perfect neutral colour for the summer and will go with just about anything! The polish always takes a good few days to chip, which is amazing for me as nail polish is usually chipped by the next day on my nails! The only problem I have with this polish is the brush, its really not very smooth at all and can leave faint lines when you paint your nails, meaning it can be quite fiddly to get a smooth finish. So instead I have swapped the brush for one of my old nail polish brushes and it now goes on perfectly, and for a £1, I'm not particularly fussed that the brush isn't of good quality anyway!

The next product is the single matte eye shadows, and these I'm really not too keen on which I found surprising since I absolutely loved the palette. They are meant to be highly pigmented but I just don't find that they pay off much. In order to get a solid colour you have to pile your brush with the eye shadow quite a few times and even then it still isn't an amazing colour. I'm not too sure whether it is because it is a matte shadow but for me, at £1, I still don't think I'll be purchasing again.

Finally is, for me, one of the worst products that MUA sell which is the pressed powder. I have fairly oily skin however I find that this powder is too chalky and does absolutely nothing for my skin. I have found that it lasts barely an hour before I'm shiny again which is really bad quality! The range 4 colours are relatively good, it just really is a not very good pressed powder, rubbish.

So I hope I haven't rambled on too much and I hope that this has been helpful for you, even if it only saves you a few pounds.
