As soon as I heard about the new H&M beauty range I couldn't wait to give it a go, however I soon discovered that my local store didn't stock it and after browsing online for what felt like days I just couldn't decide what to get without trying it out. So I made the trip to a store slightly further out in the hope that they would have the range and hallelujah, they did!! I was so excited, the whole range really is beautiful and I had to stop myself from buying every single product. So I narrowed it down to the thing that excites me the most, eye makeup, with a couple of nail polishes thrown in on top.

H&M Nail Polish in U-Taupe-Ia and Verdigris

I always love to try out a new nail polish so I was obviously going to be trying out H&Ms range and boy is there a lot to choose from! I eventually decided to go for a slightly different shade to what I would usually go for (burgundys all the time!) and a lovely glitter to get into the Christmas spirit. The taupe shade is really nice, it came out slightly darker than I expected it to but don't all nail polishes? The brush is thick and wide so this nail polish is so easy to apply; the glitter is gorgeous, although the glittery blues and oranges look scary in the pot, it gives a beautiful coppery look on the nails!

H&M Colour Essence Eye Pencil in Raw Umber

I used to be obsessed with bronze eye liners but have recently been going blacks and dark browns however I could resist giving this beautiful shade a go. The eyeliner is really smooth and creamy, not as long lasting as some waterproof eye liners however the shades they have are beautiful and still last for a good few hours before wearing off.

H&M Eye Colour Palette in Smoky Nudes

I was most excited about these palettes but to be honest they are probably the most disappointing. The shades are all really nice and I'd definitely get wear out of them all however the actual shadows aren't the same as the single shadows. They are okay, but quite chalky and definitely not as silky as the single shadows. I like the palette and will use it but it's nothing special.

H&M High Impact Eye Colour in Shiitake, Woodwork and Candied Almond

These are my favourite out of the whole collection. Seriously, such good quality for the price. The pigmentation is amazing and the actual shadow is silky and glides on to the eyelid so easily. There are so many shades to choose from and I struggled to pick out these three. Shiitake is a gorgeous pale, shimmery brown, Woodwork is a darker brown with gold shimmer in it and Candied Almond slightly more matte chesnut brown, perfect for the crease!

Next up on my list is the cream shadows, have you tried this collection?

Sorry for the lack of posts in the past week, I was having technical issues but all is now sorted so I'm hoping posts will get back to normal! These shadow sticks from Rimmel were released quite a while ago but they have just released some new shades which I am absolutely loving so I thought it was about time that I share my thoughts on them. I use these as a base under my eyeshadows and they seriously make them last all day. The formula is really creamy and very blendable and also sets after about a minute making them the perfect base for powder eyeshadows.

I have the shades Tresspassing Taupe which is a dark brown taupe, Bad Girl Bronze which is a gorgeous dark bronze with gold flecks, Buffing which is a pale shimmery taupe and Bulletproof Beige which is a pale shimmery gold. I think these shades are all amazing and I love that the range is made up of mostly neutrals which I think is fairly unusual for a high street brand! My favourite at the moment has to be Buffing becauses its such a pretty shade and looks amazing under Mac's Patina however I can honestly say I get so much wear out of all of these shades! For only £5.49 you can't really go wrong.

One of my all time favourite pieces of makeup has to be my Mac palettes. I love eyeshadow and just think Mac does such a good range of colours that are really good quality. I've been slowly building up my collection because they aren't the cheapest but I love the 4-pan palettes as I find them much easier to transport than a 15-pan palette.

Palette One

Era

This is probably my most used Mac eyeshadow purely because its so subtle and easy to wear on a daily basis. A pale beige colour with a very slight satin finish. It doesn't look like much when swatched but would definitely recommend this if you aren't a big fan of shimmer and just want something natural to wear.

Sable

Sable has to be up there as one of the prettiest Mac shades. A gorgeous browny blush colour with a gold shimmer. I love wearing this during the day as its just so beautiful!

Antiqued

I don't wear Antiqued as often as I would like but it is a really lovely shade. A red brown, rust colour with gold shimmer. It looks gorgeous blended out over the eyelid with a bit of Brun through the crease!

Brun

Brun is my only matte shade but I absolutely love it. Just a really nice dark brown colour that looks great through the crease. Would be good for eyebrows too if you have dark hair!

Palette Two

Woodwinked

Woodwinked used to be my favourite shade but I think I just find it slightly too shimmery now. However it is a really gorgeous, unique shade. A gold shimmery shade that when blended in turns into a burnt gold colour. Beautiful as a one-shade smokey eye.

Mulch

I absolutely love Mulch, just a beautiful brown shade with red shimmer. Looks so nice just blended out over the eyelid and underneath the eye for an Olsen-esque look! This is probably my go-to smokey eyeshadow.

Satin Taupe

Again Satin Taupe is a shade I used to love but find it slightly too shimmey now. However it is a gorgeous shimmey taupe colour.

Twinks

I love the colour of Twinks but unfortunately the pay off just isn't that great. Its a burgundy brown colour but you really have to build it up to get any sort of colour pay out which is a shame because otherwise it would be a firm favourite.

Palette Three

Patina

I adore Patina, it's a really pretty pale taupe with a slight gold shimmer. I wear this during the day and it just looks really lovely.

Soba

Soba is another favourite shade of mine. A tanned skin-toned shade that is gorgeous blended out over the whole eyelid. This is definitely a one-shade smokey eye, yet its not too much that it can't be worn during the day.

My all time favourites have to be Era, Sable, Mulch, Patina and Soba and would definitely recommend you to go and give them a swatch! Any recommendations for what I should get to fill my third palette?

Lily Lolo Mineral Eyeshadow in 'Miami Taupe' - £5.99* & Lily Lolo Natural Eye Pencil in 'Black' - £6.99*

I'm a big fan of Lily Lolo and every product I've tried by them I've absolutely loved, so I was pretty excited to be able to try out their new Mineral Eyeshadow and Eye Pencils.

I've never really tried mineral eyeshadows as I always thought they'd be way too messy and it just seemed much easier to use pressed eyeshadows. However the colour of this one was so gorgeous I couldn't resist trying it out! I received the shade 'Miami Taupe', which is described as a smoky taupe with a slight shimmer. Its such a lovely, subtle everyday colour and it is just so pretty to wear. As for the application, after expecting it to be really difficult it was actually surprisingly easy! I always use a primer and eyeshadow base and so I just patted the eyeshadow over that like I usually would and it was absolutely fine. There was a tiny bit of fallout but this happens with quite a lot of my eyeshadow anyway so it didn't bother me!

The second product I received was the Natural Eye Pencil. I love my kohl eyeliners, they are just so easy to wear, apply roughly and simply smudge it out. I never bother with liquid eyeliner unless it is a special occasion! This eye pencil is definitely one of the best I've tried, its really silky and smooth and smudges out so well. Its also very pigmented which is definitely what I look for in a black eye pencil.

Overall I'm pretty happy with these two products and would definitely recommend you giving Lily Lolo a try! So many lovely products on my wishlist from them now.

 Lily Lolo Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Smoky Rose - £18.99*

Eyeshadow is definitely my all-time favourite type of makeup, I love how many different shades you can get and how many different looks can be created. Recently I've really been enjoying using this eyeshadow quad from a brand called Lily Lolo, which until recently I had never heard of. This eyeshadow quad is part of their new Limited Edition Classics and Metallics collection and contains four beautiful shades; a shimmery white, a dusky pink, a dark taupe and a rich brown. You probably know by now but I'm really into my neutral shades so these are right up my street.

I've got so much use out of this palette already, I actually really like all four shades which I think is unusual for a palette as there is usually at least one colour that I dislike. Perhaps what is most surprising is the fact I've been reaching for the dusky pink shade almost daily for the past week! I'm really not a pink eyeshadow sort of person but this shade is really subtle and looks stunning as a wash over the lid with one of the darker shades pressed lightly into the outer corner. The shades are all really pigmented and long-lasting too so I can definitely see this palette becoming a firm fixture in my make-up bag.
