I bought this dress the other month from ASOS and it spent about a month just sitting in its box because I just didn't really know how to wear it, yet I loved the shape. So I decided to have a good think and I thought the past week was the perfect time to wear it, with it being hot and sunny and all that!

These are the three ways I would wear a mint dress:

Dress - ASOS

First way: dressed up with heels and a waist belt

heels - Matalan, belt - Vintage

Second way: paired with a cropped jumper for slightly cooler days

jumper - H&M, necklace - ASOS

Third way: with a checked shirt over the top and plimsolls

shirt - H&M mens, shoes - Decathlon

One of my all time favourite things is perfume, unfortunately I am slightly allergic to it and so can only put it on my wrists and the back of my neck, however that doesn't stop me buying it aha! So I thought I'd go through some of my personal favourites.

Firstly, this is probably my all time go to perfume and such a classic, it's Chanel Chance! It has a mixture of vanilla, jasmine and white musk, which are actually three of my favourite scents mixed together in one, the smell also lasts for ages, seriously a couple of sprays will last for the majority of the day. So yeah, I love the smell of this, I think its so beautiful, a bit on the pricey side but nonetheless a lovely perfume.

The second perfume, one of my more recent purchases is Jean Paul Gaultier 'Classique'. This perfume is fast becoming my all time favourite and it's on the verge of overtaking the Chanel one. Its got a slightly stronger smell than most perfumes and I definitely think it is one you'll either absolutely love or not like so much (I absolutely love it!). It has quite strong base notes of vanilla and amber wood, which I think work beautifully together!

The third perfume I can't get enough of is Calvin Klein 'Euphoria', it's a fairly strong, musky smell and is perfect for daytime. My only problem is that it doesn't last as long as some of the more expensive perfumes, but that may be because I bought the Eau de Toilette rather than the Eau de Parfum(I will definitely try that next time I buy it!).

Lastly is a perfume that I wear probably every day that I don't want to use some of the more expensive perfumes (if that makes sense aha!) and it is Hugo Boss 'Femme'. Its quite a subtle smell so its definitely one to wear if you want to smell more casual and not like you tried to dress up. Its got a musky, oriental lily smell and has been a perfume that I have loved and worn for years.

Out come the shorts again, aha I'm sorry, I promise I do have other things in my wardrobe it's just I love my high waisted shorts!
Anyway this has to be one of my favourite shirts from Zara; seriously I thought they were bang on trend this season, I bought so much stuff. I just love the pattern on this shirt and the quirkyness of it (if thats a word!).

I was off to my Grandma's this morning, so I thought I'd steer away from the denim shorts for a day:)

Here are another pair of my high waisted shorts (yes, I have a zillion pairs of them), paired with a mens t-shirt. I find mens t-shirts so easy to wear, you can just throw them over a pair of shorts and you're ready to go!

This is what I wore today because... it was my last day of college! Bring on university, aha, if I get the grades.

I'm loving vintage finds at the moment, and this denim shirt is definitely one of the best I've found. I always find that shirts are better from a vintage store than new!

I thought I'd quite like to start sharing some recipes with you as well. I made this the other night and it was gorgeous; I didn't know making sweet and sour was so easy!!

Two blog posts in one day, I am getting good at this aha:)!

This is what I wore this afternoon to a friends birthday, and I am in love with these shorts!! They are amazing, they are slightly more dressy that normal black shorts and they are coated, so they are similar to a matte leather! Definitely a firm favourite of mine.

MUA is quickly becoming one of my go to brands, firstly because of the price and secondly because they actually have some pretty good stuff there!

My all time favourite MUA product has to be the 'Heaven and Earth' palette. Its amazing, with every shade of brown you could possibly wish for. With a brown smoky eye being almost my signature look (seriously, I love a brown smoky eye!) this palette is perfect for me. The palette consists of 12 highly pigmented eye shadows with a mixture of shimmer and matte finishes, with most of them being a shimmer finish, all for £4!! Its a bargain!

Another product which is fast becoming a favourite of mine is the nail polish, in particular shade 19, which is a pale taupe colour. Its a perfect neutral colour for the summer and will go with just about anything! The polish always takes a good few days to chip, which is amazing for me as nail polish is usually chipped by the next day on my nails! The only problem I have with this polish is the brush, its really not very smooth at all and can leave faint lines when you paint your nails, meaning it can be quite fiddly to get a smooth finish. So instead I have swapped the brush for one of my old nail polish brushes and it now goes on perfectly, and for a £1, I'm not particularly fussed that the brush isn't of good quality anyway!

The next product is the single matte eye shadows, and these I'm really not too keen on which I found surprising since I absolutely loved the palette. They are meant to be highly pigmented but I just don't find that they pay off much. In order to get a solid colour you have to pile your brush with the eye shadow quite a few times and even then it still isn't an amazing colour. I'm not too sure whether it is because it is a matte shadow but for me, at £1, I still don't think I'll be purchasing again.

Finally is, for me, one of the worst products that MUA sell which is the pressed powder. I have fairly oily skin however I find that this powder is too chalky and does absolutely nothing for my skin. I have found that it lasts barely an hour before I'm shiny again which is really bad quality! The range 4 colours are relatively good, it just really is a not very good pressed powder, rubbish.

So I hope I haven't rambled on too much and I hope that this has been helpful for you, even if it only saves you a few pounds.

I took a trip down to my local Superdrug last month in search of this eye shadow; I had heard good things about it! What's even better is that it was 3 for 2 on all cosmetics! So I decided to purchase the Colour Tattoo in 'On and on bronze', and boy was I not disappointed.

The Colour Tattoo is a cream gel eye shadow that has a shimmer finish and is supposed to last for 24hrs without creasing, what more could you ask for in an eye shadow! The moment I opened the pot, I had a good feeling about it; I firstly applied it with my finger as I find its always nice to get a feel for a product when you first try it. It glided on beautifully, and I needed very little product to give a lovely colour! After applying it, all I needed were a few lashings of mascara and I was good to go, which is perfect for those mornings when you miss the alarm (a pretty often occurrence for me!). After all this build up I was not disappointed as the eye shadow lasted the whole day, with very minimal (barely there!) creasing towards the end of the day. The minimal creasing was a miracle for my eyes, as I have fairly oily skin and so most eye shadow just slides off within a few hours. 

Since then I have found many uses for this little wonder pot, I have found that it works wonderfully as a base coat for eye shadows. I have heard also that this product is very similar to the MAC Paint Pots, as I don't own any of these I can't really comment but in terms of look and texture I'd say they are pretty much identical, only the Colour Tattoo is half the price (how I love a bargain!).

I'm rambling on way too much, so I'll wrap this up, basically this pot is amazing and it is definitely worth a buy, you will not be disappointed!
