Happy New Years Eve guys!!

So this is the outfit I wore on Christmas day, for some reason I don't look very happy in these pictures aha. I think its because my sister was taking the pictures and I was trying to teach her how to focus and use my new camera!

Also I know this outfit doesn't look very Christmassy but these shorts are a lot more sparkly in real life, they were a Christmas present and they are gorgeous! They are dark green and black and they have gold and black shiny thread running through them, really lovely. I will definitely be making lots of use of them over the next few months!

I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas and I hope you all have a lovely New Year. Me and my friends are planning on going over to another friends house and we will probably just chill with a few bottles of wine and lot of yummy food!!

I'm sorry this post is a little late but I wanted to get my sales picks up around Boxing Day. Anyway this is just a quick snapshot of what I got for Christmas, I know some people aren't keen on these posts but I personally love having a nosey at what others got for Christmas. ITS CHRISTMASSSSSS (Eve)!!

I am so so excited if you couldn't already tell aha, lots of lovely food, a few cheeky presents and just spending lots of time with family, I can't wait. We tend to spend Christmas day with one grandparents and Boxing day with the other so I sort of get two Christmas days which I personally love because it just spreads Christmas out for that little bit longer:)

Its also my birthday on the 4th January, so as I usually get money I decided to buy myself an early birthday present!! Its something that I've been wanting for absolutely ages and I'm sure you guys will be able to appreciate it too; its a NEW CAMERA!!! A Canon 600d to be precise and I love it so much, I have just spent the last two days walking around taking pictures of random things and playing with the settings and these outfit pictures are the first to be taken with the new camera and so I hope you can tell the big difference in photo quality!

These heels I bought in the New Look sale when I did some last minute Christmas shopping at the weekend and I am in love with them, I've been wearing them around the house I like them that much aha, they were also a bargain at £10!

Anyway thats enough rambling from me!! I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, I shall probably post again the day after Boxing day!!

It thats time of year again, party season!! Work parties, Christmas parties, New years eve parties... (my birthday parties!!) aha. And for me I always find myself reaching for the same kind of makeup around this time of year. I always up for a gorgeous bronze smokey bronze, it's always the type of look I go for around Christmas. These are some of my favourite products that I used to create a bronze smoky eye:

First I always have to use a bit of the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze, I find its a great base for any smoky eye but in particular I find layering a bronze smokey eye over this cream shadow base just makes my eyes pop! Definitely a must have for me.

Next is eyeshadow, one of my ultimate favourites for what is perhaps the simplest bronze smoky eye ever is Mac Eyeshadow in Mulch. Mulch has to be one of my favourite Mac eyeshadows, on its own its a lovely brown with gold shimmer but paired with the color tattoo it transforms into a stunning bronzy colour. Another firm favourite but much more glitzy combo is this 17 Eyeshadow Trio in Enraged; these three shades are all very shimmery but if you fancy going all out for a dramatic eye, they are gorgeous when used all together; the pale gold all over the lid, the shimmery pale pink in the inner corner of the eye and the darker colour along the lash line and through the crease. A more recent purchase is this Revlon Eyeshadow Quad in Adventurous. These shades are all lovely but I especially love the bronze colour combined with the matte dark brown through the crease, more understated that the 17 Trio but still stunning!

And last but not least is eyeliner and mascara. I'm a huge fan of pencil eyeliners and two of my firm favourites have to be Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl in Bronze and Avon SuperShock Gel Liner in Black and Blackberry. These two eyeliners have to be the longest lasting eyeliners ever, seriously these don't budge and they are really nice colours too. And you can't have a proper smokey eye without plenty of mascara; my favourite has to be the Avon SuperShock Max Mascara, seriously good with lots of volume!

This was another colour I ordered when Models Own has their 50% off offer! To be honest I was stuck choosing a colour to be my 5th polish (you had to buy 5 to get 50% off) so I just went for this one, not really sure why. But anyway, it was the last polish I tried because I wasn't really that interested in it but I actually love it. Its a really nice chocolate brown that just seems to make my hands look really good and polished. Definitely one I'll keep going back to. And its made me learn not judge colours before I've tried them aha!

Now I've heard people talk about this foundation for absolutely ages, and since it supposed to be amazing for oily skin I thought it was about time I tried it:) Especially when Revlon had their 3 for 2 offer plus a free glitter nail polish when you buy three products; so if you haven't worked it out already, then that was basically buy 2 products get 2 free! Amazing:)
So after a week of using this foundation I am certainly not disappointed. The consistency is fairly runny and the coverage I would say is medium to full. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the face which is a nice change to normal full coverage foundations. The colour range is also pretty good for drugstore, I got the shade Buff which isn't the lightest shade for once aha (I'm nearly always the lightest shade in a foundation). Buff is probably a little too yellow toned for me but you can't tell on my face and it blends in so well that it doesn't make any difference anyway. The only downside to this foundation is the bottle, I wish they'd make a flipping pump for it; although I haven't poured out too much as of yet, I can definitely see it happening at some point.

Basically this is probably now one of my favourite foundations, lasts all day with very little need for touch ups and keeps my oil at bay. Definitely worth a try for all those with oily skin!

We've had snow!!! Ah, I was so excited to see that we had snow, although it did only last a few hours before turning to ice which wasn't so nice to walk in! I was hoping we would end up have a white Christmas but since the snow here has almost disappeared we would have to have a lot more for that to happen I think:)

Anyway, I've had to most stressful week ever, looking for a house for next year plus a load of work thats due next Wednesday!!! I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few days. However I can't wait to go home next friday for Christmas, so so excited!!

Now I have to admit, I've never been one for glittery nail polishes!! However this year I have been feeling extra Christmassy and for some reason I just had the biggest urge to buy a gold nail polish. So I headed to Boots and came away with this lovely Revlon one; its a dark black/bronze with gold shimmer in it and it is stunning!! I can't wait to wear this throughout the Christmas break:)

17 BB Cream in Light

I have recently rediscovered this BB cream and I absolutely love it. Its fairly thick and feels more like a foundation but with a lighter more natural coverage, so its great for Winter when you don't want to be caked in foundation but you want something thats still going to cover.

Topshop Nails in 'Ruthless'

I wore this for my Christmas Architecture ball last night and I can't believe how long I haven't worn this for, the colour is a stunning dark pinky red. Amazing for Autumn/Winter.

Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner in Blackberry

I have been wearing this liner so much over the past few weeks, a stunning dark plum colour. Its a great alternative to black and looks a lot less harsh. The Avon Supershock eyeliners are amazing, long lasting, budgeproof and glide on really nicely, definitely up there as my holy grail eyeliner.

Mac Eyeshadow in Mulch

I just love this colour. Mulch has always been a very firm favourite of mine, this ones definitely going to keep cropping up in my favourites time and time again. A gorgeous chocolately brown with goldish/reddish shimmer in it.

17 Blusher in Damson Wine

This blusher is such a nice, really subtle pinky colour. I'm not sure why but this has just been the blusher I've always picked up this month. Lovely and natural.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze

The maybelline color tattoos are still a very firm favourite of mine, especially this bronze colour. Its just amazing for wearing daily as a base with a neutral eyeshadow over the top. Such an easy daily look.

MUA Eyeshadow in Shade 12

Finally I've been picking up this eyeshadow quite a few times this week, a brown with green pearldescent shimmer. This is a very good dupe for Macs Club only I think the MUA shadow has more green shimmer in it. But this colour has been such a great alternative to a grey smokey eye, perfect in the run up to Christmas.

And there it is, another monthly favourites! Aa I can't actually believe it is December. Very very excited for Christmas. Theres been so much hype surrounding this perfume, so I decided to buy a sample of it on eBay, and I absolutely love the smell, its a masculine, woody smell with a slightly sweet hint to it; not sure if I've described it correctly but thats my interpretation aha. Anyway I love this perfume, well worth £27!

Grease Lightning Spot Treatment - Lush £5.95 
My skin hasn't been the best lately, probably a combination of lots of drinking (fresher at uni!) and less sleep than normal. Anyway I'm hoping this will live up to my high expectations:)

Burberry Eyeshadow in Midnight Brown - Burberry £22.50
I have been after this eyeshadow for absolutely agess, I love this colour and I just think the shadows look so sleek and luxurious!! Pricey but thats exactly why its on my christmas list.

I've been wanting a Mac palette for ever, and I'm always jealous of those who have a full 15-pan neutral Mac palette. I currently own Mulch, Greensmoke and Plumage and I love each and everyone of them, I'm hoping I can add these 6 shadows to my small collection. Woodwinked is by far my most wanted, its stunning!

MeMeMe Dew Pots in Autumn Smoulder - MeMeMe £7.25 (Also sold at Superdrug but couldn't find them online)
Pixiwoo have been using this so much in many of their recent tutorials and I just love the colour and the way they use it each and everytime. A gorgeous plummy colour, perfect for AW!

Essie Nail Polish in Stylenomics - Essie/Boots - £7.99
Finally, I am yet to own an Essie nail polish despite loving so many of colours. I just can't justify spending £8 on a nail polish, for me its just a little too pricey. But what are Christmas lists for eh? I've loved Stylenomics ever since it was released, a beautiful dark teal colour!

I've been so busy with work lately, since I was ill that week I'm now pretty behind aaah!! Anyway this has been my uniform for the last week, comfy jumper and comfy vans! So I apologise if its not very interesting, much more coming very soon, so don't lose hope just yet aha! I was thinking of doing some Christmas wishlists, I know everyone is doing gift guides at the moment but I thought it's be quite nice to tell you guys whats on my Christmas list this year; let me know what you think:)?

Now when cream blushers hit the beauty world I have to admit I was very very skeptical, my skin is oily and so adding anything to make it dewy would just turn my face into oil central! However I felt like trying one and so I went for this cheap one from MUA, part of their new collection.

At first look to me it didn't look like anything special, in fact if I'm honest it felt exactly like lip balm. This made applying it to my face extremely weird. I felt like I had lip balm on my face; however this did settle into a slightly dewy finish, but it still felt slightly weird! The colour didn't last as long as a normal powder blush (comparing it to an MUA powder blush) however it didn't turn my face into oil central, thank goodness.

Overall I wasn't particularly a fan of this, I don't think it was the product but instead just the concept of a cream blusher. I would like to try a mousse like blush as I think I would prefer the texture on my face a lot more.

I would give this a try if you fancy it, as for £2.50, it doesn't matter if you don't like it. Its just not for me:(

I know, I know, I said I'd be back to normal and 5 days later I still haven't got back to normal aha! I am feeling much better after a rather nasty throat infection, hello antibiotics for the next 10 days:(! However I am now behind on loads of work and still haven't really caught up with it all yet, plus getting used to uni life after a week at home takes longer than I thought it would aha.

Anyway onto Autumn nail polishes. I love Autumn and especially the colours that surround Autumn and are associated with it. Now I do actually wear so called "Autumn" nail polishes all year round but I just thought I'd show you some of my favourites (sorry that there are three models own ones, oops!)

Models Own 'Pray'

This Models Own one probably has to be my all-time favourite nail polish colour, its sort of a browny dark grey, with some purpley tones in it. Goes with absolutely anything, and it is definitely my go to nail polish!

Models Own 'Concrete Mixer'

This is a fairly new addition to my collection but it is one I have lusted over for ages. Its a nude grey that has a greeny tone to it, think of a grey sage colour and you've got Concrete Mixer. Now this doesn't go with absolutely anything like I thought it would, its definitely a cooler toned colour and tends to go with greys and blues rather than browns. Still a firm favourite and something a little bit different to your average grey.

Topshop 'Ruthless'

This nail polish has been in my collection for absolutely ages (not the same one, I have repurchased it a lot!!), its gorgeous, a very very dark burgundy pink! A really lovely shade, that I'm hoping Topshop won't ever get rid of and perfect for Autumn.

Models Own 'Beccas Brown'

This is another new addition to my collection and one I bought on a whim, not really thinking it was going to turn into much. However it is such a wearable shade; its a chocolatey brown with tones of grey running through it, quite muted but still lovely at the same time. I wear this so much without even thinking about it and it definitely looks good with just about anything! (I know it looks similar to Pray but its honestly not!)

Revlon 'Enthrall'

This colour is my newest addition and I love it!! I've been feeling Christmassy since the beginning of November and never having been a Christmassy person before I all of a sudden fancied some sparkle in my life! So I went on the look out for a grungey dark gold and I've definitely found it in this nail polish; its a stunning very dark bronze with gold shimmer running through it, quite subtle and perfect for those who want to feel a bit Christmassy without going all out on the sparkle and glitter. I will definitely be wearing this throughout the Christmas holidays!

I've been after this Models Own nail polish for agess, I couldn't find it in any of the stores, so I took full advantage of the 50% off offer a few weeks ago and purchased two of these. And I absolutely love the colour. Its a really stunning neutral grey with a bit of a greeny tinge to it. A little bit different to your normal nude colour and seems to go with absolutely everything!

As always Models Own formulas are great with a relatively big sized bottle too!

But anyway I love vintage checked shirts, I think they are so much better than the ones you buy on the high street!

I recently went into Boots determined to find something so I could get the 3 for 2 offer! I didn't need a new foundation at all but I thought you can never have too many foundations:) So I picked up this one by Maybelline, part of the FITme! range. The aim of the range is to produce products that fit with your skin in order to create a flawless, yet natural base. And I have to say after a few weeks of using this, I am hooked.

The formula has a gel-like consistency and is very light, you can barely feel it on your face which is a strange yet lovely feeling because your skin still looks great! The coverage is medium I would say, its certainly got more than enough coverage for day to day and an evening look at the same time. And the best thing about this foundation is that it looks completely natural, it blends in really well (I use the RT Buffing Brush) and doesn't sit on the face. The finish is not matte but not too dewy at the same time, I thought that with my oily skin it would just make my face look shiny but with a little powder it lasts throughout the day. At the same time I think this foundation would also be good for dry skin because the formula is so light and certainly not drying on the face! Another great thing about this is it has SPF 18, and it doesn't seem to cause flashback either, and the colour range is pretty impressive for a drugstore brand, what more could you want. 

The packaging is really really nice for for a drugstore foundation, it comes in a glass bottle which feels really luxurious in your hands! Plus I may be completely off the mark in saying this but I think this may be a dupe for the famous Nars Sheer Glow foundation, I've only tested Nars Sheer Glow but in my opinion they are very very similar, even the packaging is almost identical!

I love this foundation and I think its a great little gem that will carry me through the Winter months!

For once I am on time with my monthly favourites and wow, doesn't time fly by!! Its flipping less than two months to Christmas and I am so excited, Christmas and the build up is my favourite time of year, I just can't wait:D Anyway onto another monthly favourites, with a couple of reappearances from last time and a few newbies!

Maybelline FIT Me Foundation

This is a foundation that I picked up on a whim while in Boots a few weeks ago, its was 3 for 2 and I fancied trying a new foundation. This is a really nice transition foundation from Summer to Winter, its light on the skin while still giving plenty of coverage; it also has a bit of a sheer finish and really brightens the skin. A full review will follow soon but I can see myself definitely using this throughout Winter.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Does this brush really need an explanation? After a few months on using the Expert Face brush I have now been converted back to the Buffing brush, a beautiful brush giving a flawless finish!

Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Kohl in Taupe & Bronze

I spoke about these last month and did a review on them (found here), I just think these are amazing. I wear both of these colours as a base, the Taupe is perfect day to day with a neutral shadow over the top, and the Bronze is my newest addition but its perfect as either a liner or as a base with a smoky shadow over the top for the night. Stay put all day, seriously if you want a base that doesn't budge then these are it!

17 Eyeshadow Trio in 'In The Nude'

This is mainly the shadow trio over the top of the Kohl liner virtually everyday! My favourites are the brown and the grey but the cream colour is perfect for highlighting the brow bone. Basically a good mixture of neutrals which are perfect for the day.

MUA Bronzer in 'Shade 3'

This bronzer is the perfect healthy glow shade and has really added colour to my complexion during these past cold weeks. Not of the best quality but pretty damn good for its price tag of £1 and it does the job pretty well.

Models Own Nail Polish in 'Pray'

I love this nail polish, one of the ones I bought with the 50% off code and it is a firm favourite. A dark taupe colour that has hints of browns and greys, perfect for Autumn/Winter.

Eucerin Even Brighter Night Cream

Now this is a strange one and I wasn't sure whether to include it. I signed up to a Cosmopolitan Product Trial where you occasionally get sent products to try for a brand before it is released in the UK. So I got sent this night cream the other week and I absolutely love it, Eucerin wasn't a brand I'd heard of before but the night cream is a lovely thick cream that doesn't leave any residue on my skin unlike most night creams. It soaks in and leaves my skin soft and smooth and definitely brighter! Although this isn't on sale in the UK yet you can get Eucerin products from Boots.com and I'd definitely recommend a look!

Sorry I've been so absent ah! After dropping my iPhone in the toilet the other day I then went home for a long weekend only to find the internet wasn't working!! So basically I've had no phone and no internet for the week which has been really irritating, I use my phone for literally everything; even just for telling the time! Anyway I put my iPhone in dry rice for a few days in the hope it would start working again and guess what... IT DID!! I'm so happy I never thought that would work in a million years, iPhones are notorious for breaking at the first sign of water so I was overjoyed! Ecstatic that I don't have to fork out for a new one aha.

This is one of the Models Own nail varnishes I bought, and its like a very dark purple, infact its probably not as dark as the picture suggests (sorry, bad lighting!), but it is definitely a purple! Not one of my favourites I have to say, but thats probably because I found it so hard to wear, it just doesn't seem to go with anything I own aha, sad I know:P. Anyway if you love purple you'll love this!

Sorry guys this is going to be a super quick post today, so swamped with work at the moment!

I recently made an order with Models Own because of the 50% off offer, so I couldn't resist getting 5 new nail polishes; the other colours I got were Concrete Mixer x2, Beccas Brown and Purple Grey! However this is by far my favourite so far, it just looks so good on and literally goes with anything.

The colour is a lovely warm toned grey/brown and the picture pretty much shows what its exactly like, definitely recommended:)

This is my last outfit from home, sniff sniff! The next outfits after this one will all be with my not so nice uni room background, so please bare with me; the background won't be nearly as nice as this one but unfortunately its what I'll have to make do with, sorry in advance if you don't like the new background!

Anyway I found this jumper while wondering through Primark one day, something I have been doing a lot lately while on a tighter budget, and I fell in love with the mottled pattern. I think it makes this jumper look so much more expensive than it is. Paired with my trusty leather leggings; I have seriously be wearing these around 3 times a week at the moment, they're just so easy to wear and go with virtually anything!

Now I'm one of those people who is always on the look out for the holy grail product and moisturiser is always one of those products I just don't have much luck with. I have v.oily skin and so I need a really light moisturiser to apply at night; I don't think I would every get away with applying moisturiser in the morning, my face would be slick central by 11! Anyway I was browsing in the beauty department in Tesco a few weeks ago, buying cheap university supplies when I stumbled across this moisturiser by Amie. Now I had heard of Amie before but I knew literally nothing about the brand, I simply recognised the name. I was drawn to the fact it said Matte-Finish on the front, always a sucker for anything thats going to make my skin matte I couldn't resist. When I got to the checkout the price came up on the screen and I couldn't believe it, £1.63!!! Yep thats right, this moisturiser was £1.63. After that I wasn't really expecting much to be honest but I thought I'd give it a fair go.

Onto the review, this moisturiser is free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils and animal extracts and contains natural extracts such as vitamin E, billberry and rosehip, which I thought sounded pretty damn good! Its claims to leave skin soft and shine-free and I can't say I disagree. The feel of this moisturiser is so light and its a dream to blend into the skin, it leaves no residue and leaves a matte, yet soft, finish almost immediately. I was seriously impressed! After using this for three weeks now I am just as in love with it as I was when I first tried it, a really beautiful product. One thing that may be a problem for some people is that it is perfumed, now I personally don't mind this at all, the scent is actually quite fresh and soothing, but I know some people hate perfumed products, so definitely avoid this if thats you. For the rest of you however, run and grab this now!
