shirt - H&M, leggings & rings - ASOS, clutch - Primark, necklace - New Look

 Another scheduled outfit post, I wore this the day before I went away and the weather was horrible, hopefully by now I'll be in the lovely sun (or possibly jetting home, I'm not sure...)

This shirt is a big favourite of mine, it just so easy to wear and its really thick so I could literally go out without a jacket in this weather! Paired with my staple leggings and my favourite clutch: I've been using it quite a lot at the moment aha:)

Normal after holiday posting should resume tomorrow and I also have an exciting addition to the family I want to show you guys! However from now on I will probably be posting every other day just because I think I've just been trying to write posts just 'because I've got to get one out everyday!' rather than high quality posts so I hope you guys don't mind, it should improve my blog in the long run and you never know I could end up doing posts everyday again!

I have been in search of a good, fairly cheap, eye primer for ages and so I decided that I'd try out this one for £2.50, bargain! On first impressions I liked the packaging and the applicator it came with, however I was also really surprised it was coloured slightly. Although this turned out to be a good thing as it blurs some of the imperfections on my eyelids(they can be a bit veiny at the best of times!).

I'm so used to using the Maybelline Colour Tattoos as a base however I wanted something I without the shimmer in it for when I'm using matte eyeshadows. This primer feels lovely on the skin and leaves a really smooth base for your eyeshadow to go on. However it didn't do much to stop the creasing, although it did delay it a bit I still got creasing after a few hours. This may be due to my exceptionally oily eyelids however i would still use this as a nice base, just not when I need it to be long-lasting.

Overal, I like this but it doesn't really do what it says on the tin. I'll use up the bottle but won't be repurchasing!

EDIT: Since using this on holiday in temperatures of around 35 degrees Celsius, it has actually done a pretty good job on keeping my eyeshadow in place, it has definitely improved in my opinion. I find this works better if I leave it to set in place for a couple of minutes before applying anything on top, this seems to reduce the creasing dramatically; there is little to no creasing definitely worth a try!

£2.50 - Boots

This is a bit of a random post but lately I've been using make up wipes less and less to take my make up off and instead I have been using this baby lotion on a cotton pad! Now this may not be news to anyone else but I was so impressed with how easy it was to take my make-up off using this! A couple of rubs across your eye and your make-up just melts away. 

I had started to find make-up wipes very harsh and my eyes always felt sore afterwards, however after usuing this my eyes feel so soft and no irritation at all, despite me even getting it in my eyes a couple of times! At £2.50 for a bottle that lasts me a good few months this is such a bargain!

Worth a try if you dislike make-up wipes as much as me. I'd probably never go back to them anymore:)

dress - ASOS, clutch - Primark, heels - Next

I went out a week ago to a fairly smart dinner and so i finally got a chance to wear this black cut out dress! I am in love with it, there is something about cut-out clothes that I just seem to be drawn too, aha! This is also one of those dresses that seems really fitted and just sucks everything in, will definitely be wearing this again soon. Infact you'll probably see this dress again in my holiday outfits but I just couldn't wait to show you guys, especially as I mentioned it in my wishlist:)

Although I'm not sure if this outfit is too black, it doesn't quite look as good on pictures aha!

Now I have been waiting for the new Botanics ranges for absolutely ages! As a big fan of their products  couldn't wait! So when I was in Boots the other day, I decided to purchase this Rosewater Toning Spritz.

And I have to say after using this for around a week, I am in love with it!

A lot of people have been comparing this to the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, and since I don't own the Beauty Elixir I can't really comment but this is how I'd imagine the Beauty Elixir to be, aha! Basically this is a spray toner that you can either apply directly to your face or spray onto a cotton pad and wipe that over your face. It has a really lovely smell and feels really refreshing on your skin, it hasn't replaced my evening toner which is The Body Shop's Seaweed Clearing Toner. However instead I use this after I've washed my face in the morning as it just makes it feel really refreshed and awake!

Recommended!

I did a post a couple of weeks ago about Imperial Leather shower creams however I have just found my all time favourite smell ever and its this 'star flower and pomegranate'. It has the most fruity and musky smell, and I have also found the smell last the longest on your skin!

Definitely worth a try:)

shirt - Matalan, shorts - New Look, clutch - Primark

So today I set off for the airport, yay!!

I went really summery with this outfit in anticipation for the 38 degrees temperature, oh yeah!!! (obviously I didn't use the clutch but it looked good for the pictures:D)

This shirt is actually a recent purchase from Matalan of all places. I've never been into Matalan except for the odd pair of shoes, but they actually had some pretty good stuff, especially the printed shirts! Definitely worth a check out!

So the posts will keep coming, just less regularly! And obviously the outfit ones will be pre-scheduled so I'll pretty much just explain the outfit aha:)

 I've nearly ran out of my 17 BB cream and I just fancied trying a new one, so I picked up this one in Boots the other day, mainly because of the SPF 30 (I though it'd be great for taking on holiday!). It claims it is an 8-in-1 cream that; creates a natural glow, compliments skintone, protects skin (SPF 30), hydrates all day, blurs imperfections, oil-free, looks visibly smooth and feels fresh! Now personally I'd say it does pretty much most of these things.

There are 4 shades to choose from, which isn't a huge colour range however it does say it compliments your skintone so maybe that is why Maybelline only decided to release 4 colours, I chose the 'Light' one and this has matched my skin pretty perfectly! This BB cream is definitely a light coverage, in fact I'd say it is more similar to a tinted moisturiser than what a BB cream should be, despite this it does even out your skintone and gives a really nice smoothness to the face. It soaks in quickly and feels like nothing on your skin (unlike the 17 BB cream which can sit on your skin for a while after application). I also loved the fact it was oil-free as i have very oily skin and I really don't need to add anymore oil aha:) Although I still neeed a powder to set this as I wouldn't say it reduces oilyness!

So overall this is a nice BB cream/tinted moisturiser, I love the fact it has SPF 30 and so this is why I'd probably only purchase it in the summer. It is very light coverage so this is definitely only one to use when your skin is feeling good. But overall I like it definitely one of the better drugstore/high street BB creams!

This used to be my all time favourite work-out DVD and its still a pretty firm favourite. It consists of 2 military-style 40 minute workouts; a cardio one and a toning one! As well as this it has three extra 10 minute add ons called 'Super Legs', 'Super Pump' and 'Super Abs', and then there is a mini 10 minute workout called 'Super Six-Pack'.

The workout contains lots of squats and lunges combined with upper body work and minute long intervals of intense exercise. This workout is really good and really gives you the chance to mix up your workout, my personal favourite is the toning workout because I much prefer strength to cardio:) The workouts are hard and very challenging but I really like the way Davina interacts with you and motivates you to keep on going; better than Jillian Michaels anyday aha!

The only issue I have with this workout is after around a couple months of using it very regularly I find it becomes a lot less challenging and I see less of a difference. So I would definitely suggest using this in conjunction with a couple of other DVDs, that way your body doesn't get too used to it and the workouts still stay challenging!

Definitely the best Davina DVD I own and so if you want to try her out and I would recommend this one hands down

These are the shorts I studded myself again:) I can't get enough of them aha. I wore this on a night out a week ago and just completely forgot to post it, doh. I've decided I'm past caring about the weather, if I want to wear shorts then I will aha, sick of waiting for the sun and warmth.

Speaking of sun and warmth, I know I've already mentioned it but I will be going on holiday on friday!! Woo! So I haven't done a wishlist in a while and I thought it was about time I did one, and I've gone a bit dress crazy aha! I don't know why but maybe its because I'm going on holiday on friday and the only time I seem to wear a load of my dresses is on holiday (don't ask why aha!). 

I sort of cheated a bit with the black cut-out dress from ASOS as I actually bought this a few days ago but I really wanted to include it in my wishlist (outfit posts to come soon!). I am also in love with these stacking rings from Topshop but I can't find them anywhere, I don't really have time to order them online before friday :( I just keep going in store in the hope of finding them aha!

Yet another dreary week aha, but never mind because I am going on holiday in 7 days time:D:D very excited!! This 'jumper' actually used to be a cardigan but I sewed it up at the back and it actually turned out pretty well, I'm really happy with it because its a really nice chunky fabric!

These jeans are also an all-time favourite, they're so tight and I just love the feeling of tight jeans. They just seem to make any thing look good aha:)

Top - Shades 1 - 6

I know there have already been quite a few reviews on this new palette by MUA called 'Undressed', and I actually got mine to day they were released but I wanted to try out the colours for a while first before giving you guys a review on it. After a week of using it I am already hooked. I didn't think MUA could get much better at eyeshadows but this palette is just perfect for me. A lot of people have compared it to the Urban Decay Naked palettes and while I don't own the Naked palettes, from looks alone, they are pretty damn similar. I have actually been considering buying the Naked palette for the past few months but with this palette now I don't think I'll need to aha.

When I first received this palette I have to say I was a tad disappointed as from first impressions it is very similar to the 'Heaven and Earth' palette, a few of the neutral shades are fairly similar. Although they are still lovely colours, with a great payoff!

You probably know the drill by now, MUA eyeshadows are highly pigmented and very blendable with a great colour payoff. I don't think the pale matte colours are as pigmented as the pearly colours, however for me this isn't a particularly big problem as I tend to not use pale matte colours anyway. My favourite shades have to be shades 2, 4 and 10, I also love shade 6 because I think it is very difficult to find a nice gold colour that suits my skintone.

All in all a great palette with beautiful shades all for £4, you can't go wrong.

Warehouse - £18

I'm a massive jewellery fan and I thought I've never really had a chance to show you guys some of my favourite pieces properly, I know I wear a lot of them in my outfit posts but my camera quality is really bad (I'm working on getting a new one!) so a lot of the time they don't come out clearly! Anyway I decided to do a jewellery edit and show you some of my favourite pieces (please let me know if this is a really boring post and you don't want to see anymore, aha!)

Starting with the two collar necklaces, surprisingly enough these were from Select fairly recently for only £4.99 (Bargain!) and I loved them so much I bought one in silver and one in gold. Seriously though these are perfect for going with shirts, plain t-shirts, virtually anything and I have got so much wear out of them! Would definitely recommend going to Select and getting one (or two:))!

The cross and pendant necklaces are another favourite of mine, I believe the first one was from ASOS and the second one was from New Look. I took quite a risk with the pendant one because it's not my usual style of necklace, I'm more of a statement/chunky jewellery sort of girl but I have again got so much wear out of it. The cross necklace is a very recent purchased and I was so surprised I found it in New Look, it is so similar to a necklace Topshop had last year (which I missed out on:(!), so I was so pleased I found it in New Look for only £3.99 as well, bargainous. I love the little spikes and think it looks so much more expensive than £3.99!

Finally the bottom chain necklace has to be one of my most loved pieces of jewellery! I bought it a couple of years ago at Warehouse for a pretty expensive £18 however I have definitely got my moneys worth. Its just a really nice chunky statement necklace and I really think it just makes and outfit!

So there it is, my favourite necklaces! I will be posting a rings and earrings jewellery post but like I said let me know if you don't want to see them aha:)

Another DVD that I used to use loads is this Pilates DVD! I started going to a Pilates club at my college last September and I went for a few months and quite enjoyed it, however I stopped at Christmas. In March I was thinking about doing pilates again but couldn't really afford to go to classes so I decided to buy this DVD. 

Its quite a good DVD combining floor exercises with a few standing exercises, for me I first found it fairly challenging as it is a quite fast moving DVD, however after about two weeks of doing it regularly  I started to find it fairly comfortable to do and a relaxing change from the Jillian Michaels DVD. After around a month of using it I sort of grew a bit bored of it as I didn't find the moves challenging enough and it didn't feel like it was giving me much of a workout. I'm one of those people who likes to feel the ache the day after a workout, aha it makes me feel like I have actually done something worthwhile!

So I would definitely suggest this if you have a bit of experience of pilates and it is a nice relaxing break from the more energetic DVDs, however for me I think I need much more of a challenge to keep me interested. Not a DVD for those who get bored easily but still a nice DVD to try:)

Hey guys!

So I have had my eyes on the black version of this Motel dress for absolutely ages, and I was pretty gutted when the black one didn't appear in the sale! However I went along to the Topshop sale and came across the exact same dress in this dark lilacy colour for only £20 as well. With lilac not being my colour I was apprehensive when trying this on, but it fitted like a glove and I actually loved the colour on. Its probably a good thing the black one wasn't in the sale because I have way too many black dresses anyway aha:)

Paired with my new favourite Primark clutch and my trustee plimsolls(I was attempting a semi-casualy look so decided against heels)!

I was recently reading a review from Girly Girl Vs World (found heree) where she compared Body Shop Seaweed Facial Scrub and Lush Ocean Salt Facial Scrub and I was really intrigued because she said she preferred the Lush one. Now you may or may not know that I have been in love with the Body Shop Seaweed Exfoliator since forever so I decided I had to try the Lush one! 

The first thing that made me like this scrub was that it is actually a proper scrub with big bits of sugar which really exfoliate your face. The scrub left my face feeling really smooth and clean; in terms of comparing it with the Body Shop one, I don't think there is a comparison. In my eyes they both do different things the Body Shop one is good for a daily scrub whereas the Lush one I would use every few days!

Overall definitely a new favourite of mine:)

I bought these tie dye leggings from Topshop weeks ago and have just not got around to wearing them! I think it's because there quite 'out there' and not really my usual style but I love them so much; my inner Jessie-J comes out aha:) 

The cross necklace is another new addition and surprisingly enough its from New Look, I was really surprised because I usually find their jewellery tacky and it always looks a bit cheap (sorry if you're a fan of New Look jewellery!). However I came across this and its lovely, just a thick cross with spikes coming out of it, and its a tarnished silver colour! For only £3.99 it was a bargain. I will definitely be visiting New Look a lot more often from now on!

Having been recently into neutral nail polish, I decided to try a colour that has been pretty hyped about in the blogger world - 'Utopia' from Models Own! I already own 'Nude Beige' from Models Own and I absolutely love it (apart from the smell!) and so I wasn't worried about the actual nail polish because they are all pretty good formuals! And I was not disappointed, 'Utopia' is fast becoming my go-to nail varnish colour, I used to favour dark nail polishes however I think I have officially been converted, aha:). It's basically an off-white colour which has hints of lilac and pale pink in it, really sutble hints, it's just a lovely summer colour!

(sorry about the slightly chipped polish, I play the piano so nail polish never lasts long aha!)
