A few weeks ago I found myself really wanting a new foundation, it had been ages since I bought one so I sort of just did a random pick and ended up going for this one by Rimmel. I didn't have any expectations for it so I was really intrigued as to whether it would be any good.
It goes onto the skin very nicely with an almost gel-like texture. It is low coverage I would say, which at first I wasn't sure of however I really like the effect of using this with some of my BB creams or some of my high coverage foundations. I find it makes them feel lighter on the skin and is much better for daily use. On me this would only last around 5-6 hours with no touch ups which isn't bad in my opinion, bearing in mind I have quite oily skin. It doesn't have a matte finish but it isn't dewy either, almost satin-like. The colour range is actually pretty good too, I didn't have to get the lightest shade for once!
Overall I really like this foundation, although its not at the top of my go-to foundations, it is a nice alternative for when I'm wanting lighter coverage, and perfect for days when I'm not really doing much.

New York is by far my favourite destination on the competition and I just knew this printed dress would be perfect. I decided to keep everything else simple and let the dress speak for itself. So I only added some simple gold jewellery, a black clutch and some black sandals.

I'm loving these acid wash shorts and I think I definitely need to buy them for summer, I paired that with a lacy black crop. I kept everything else simple apart from the statement necklace, everyone needs a statement necklace in their life and this one from Zara is gorgeous!

It was finally warm enough to get my legs out the other day, does this mean Summer is on its way aha?! I really hope so because I'm sick of wearing Winter clothes, bring on the dresses and shorts! I've been searching high and low for the perfect denim jacket and I have to say, Omg Fashion have become pretty close with this one. Its a really nice worn denim colour and I love the studded collar and shoulders, I'll definitely be getting so much wear out of this.

Along with my REN order I was also sent two small samples of the ClearCalm 3 Clarity Restoring Mask. I had actually been debating over this mask for a while so I was really happy I got to try it out because this is literally amazing!!
REN says: A treatment mask formulated to combat and help prevent breakouts. It will reduce visible blemishes and leave skin looking clear, calm and even-toned.
I would agree with all of those things, the consistency of the mask is very similar to that of the ClearCalm 3 Clay Cleanser, and you simply apply a generous amount to your face and leave for 15 minutes. It doesn't dry at all on your face which I love because it doesn't leave your skin feeling stripped. After taking this mask off, all the 'under the skin' spots around my chin had reduced significantly, the difference was so noticeable, I couldn't believe it! This is the first mask I've tried that visibly reduces blemishes, and despite the slightly high price tag of £30.00, I definitely plan to purchase this mask asap!

How have I not tried any disco pants equivalents yet? Omg Fashion kindly sent me these beauties to try and they are fast becoming my favourite thing!! They are made of quite a thick material and they are so tight, yet comfortable at the same time. Plus they literally go with anything. I can't believe I haven't tried any dupes before, these make me so glad I never forked out £60 for the AA ones, these are such a bargain at £12.99!
Another thing that's fast becoming a favourite for Spring is this New Look blazer, so wearable and perfect for Spring weather!

I was never really a person who used to carry around the same things in my bag. I'd always just take whatever rubbish was in there and hope there' be something in it if I wanted it! However I literally take these three items everywhere with me now.
Soap & Glory Hand Maid Gel
An anti-bacterial hand gel is an absolute must for my handbag and this one smells so good!! I put some on even when I don't need to just so I can smell it aha. Its the perfect size for travelling around with and its just such a great item to keep your hands clean while out and about!
Korres Lip Butter in 'Guava'
I seriously love these lip butters, so gutted that I lost my Pomegranate one. They have a really velvety smooth feel to them, non greasy and super hydrating on the lips. I always find myself needing some sort of lip balm when out and about and this one does the job perfectly. A little pricey at £7 but so worth it in my opinion.
Sanctuary Hand Cream
I've only recently discovered this after going through some gift sets that I got for Christmas; at first I thought nothing of it and just chucked it in my bag because I was in need of a hand cream. However after trying it out I probably wouldn't go for any other. It smells gorgeous as do all Sanctuary products and leaves hands so soft and smooth. This is certainly not greasy, it soaks in so well, yet moisturises amazingly.
What are your handbag essentials?
After loving the REN ClearCalm 3 Clay Cleanser so much, I was pretty chuffed to be offered the famous Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask which is a firm favourite amongst beauty bloggers. This is an exfoliating mask that contains glycolic, lactic, citric and tartaric acids all designed to renew the complexion and improve skintone and radiance. And after only using this twice I've already noticed such a huge difference in my skin, it looks so much healthier and a lot more radiant.
The mask comes out like a sticky honey texture and I must admit, it feels a bit weird when rubbing this over your face, however this smells divine!! It smells quite strongly of orange, but a sort of sweet orange smell, think of orange sweeties! I love the feeling after using this mask and it is perfect for those days when your skin just feels really sallow and tired, this definitely perks up the skin.
REN are onto a winner with this one, and its definitely a brand that I will keep going back to time and time again!

I was so so excited when I was kindly offered a Warehouse dress, I've been a fan of their clothes for years especially their amazing jeggings that I literally live in. I went for this gorgeous t-shirt style shift dress in Navy. Its such a classic shape that can easily be dressed up or worn casually and its feels so nice on the skin. The front of the dress is made out of a silky, chiffon like material and the back of the dress is made of a jersey like material so I think this dress would be especially nice for the hot weather when I go on holiday! You can probably tell I'm a big fan aha, I only wish they did more colours because I would be most definitely grabbing a few more!
I decided to pair the navy with some orange nails and an orange lip, I really love the navy/orange combo, I think it works so well, if only I'd had an orange clutch to go with this outfit, that would have been perfect!
I've been after a gorgeous mint for ages and so I was very excited to hear that Bourjois had released a range of pastels and neutrals that were very glossy, like my favorite polishes the Barry M Gelly Paints. I resisted the temptation to walk away with every shade and instead stuck to the mint colour I wanted. It really is such a gorgeous colour and one that will be gracing my nails for the majority of Summer.
The formula is also really long lasting, definitely on par with the Barry M Gelly Paints. A very thick polish that needed a maximum of two coats, seriously I could have easily gotten away with only one coat, and dries to a very glossy finish.

I finally caved to the hype a month ago and decided to try the famous Effaclar Duo. Even though I started noticing effects after a week, I wanted to wait a whole month before actually reviewing it as I wanted to give it a proper go. It a 'corrective and unclogging' facial treatment that is meant to leave skin really clear and I've just been using it day and night in place of a moisturiser and I really really like it.
To me this feels very light on the skin which i find perfect for my oily skin and it soaks in really well which is also means it works really well under makeup. The first thing I noticed after using this was how my skin was a lot less oily than it used to be, almost to the point where my Revlon ColorStay felt too drying on my skin and hence why I started wearing the Maybelline Fit Me foundation daily. My skin doesn't tend to get oily throughout the day now, especially if I've used this that morning. I also find this great for unclogging the pores and foundation definitely sits better on the skin after using this. I haven't found it amazing for clearing up spots, it cleared up the major ones and the red ones but I still have quite a few under the skin next to my chin, which unfortunately this hasn't managed to shift!
Overall I really love this product and it definitely deserves the hype its been getting. I will continue to use this day and night and in fact I even plan to get a back up just in case this suddenly runs out on me!

We finally had some sun last week... finally!! So me and my family decided to head to Meadow Hall for the day, I didn't buy too much but managed to find some lovely things in H&M and made a cheeky Zara purchase.
I've been seriously loving this jacket lately, I've been wanting a lovely summer jacket for ages now and finally found what I was looking for in this! Its made of quite a thick jersey material which will be perfect for our British summer. I also wore my Topshop sandals for the first time, I saw Barbara from thePersianBabe get some in tan last year and was so gutted when they sold out in every colour. I certainly wasn't taking any chances when I saw them this year (I bought them at the beginning of March aha!).
Firstly I apologise in advance that all the suits are from Topshop but I literally couldn't find any anywhere else!! I tried so hard but I just couldn't find them, yet Topshop had loads aha. Anyway here is the Suits part of my Spring Fashion Trends series.
I really love this suit, the print is so gorgeous and I love the colours of it. I wanted to keep things fairly simple with this and I think its probably something you could easily wear to work depending on how brave you are aha.
